Next we moved on to the motor of this Boss 302. We disassembled everything and refinished it. We put it back together with the correct hardware. This car wasn't missing too many of the big ticket engine parts. We did have to buy a few items that had been discarded over the years. The smog system was the biggest thing missing. The Boss 302 heat sheild, distributor, and water tubes were a few of the other items that had been changed. The Carter X fuel pump was still functioning but, we rebuilt it anyway.

This is a full numbers matching Boss 302. We took photos of most of the significant numbers to prove this fact. It had the original block as you can see by the first photo. All the Boss 302 specific pulleys, brackets, and mechanical parts are all correct. Even down to the belts this car is all there and correct. The following photos are a few of the part numbers to show that this car went through an extensive and thorough restoration.

From there we moved on to the front end. We detailed all of the steerign, suspension, and brake parts with there original finishes. This is long and tedious process but, this is what serperates the high dollar collector Boss 302 for the knock around, driver Boss 302. Everything was taken apart and bead blasted and then coated. All of the correct hardware was used to put everything back together. this undercarriage is show room fresh.
