Next was to restore and rebuild the rear end. We added all of the proper paint marks that were put on at the factory for identification purposes. Both the leaf springs and the rear axle housing were detailed. These steps are what seperates a driver restoration from a consourse Boss 302 restoration.
The following photos show the undercarriage of this Boss 302. We put a new exhaust on this car that was made from original Ford tooling. The only difference is there are no Ford part numbers on the mufflers. The Boss 302 exhaust systems are available from Santa Barbara Muscle Cars.
The following show the inside of the trunk after we finished. This car has the proper trunk mat, spare tire, and inflator canister. The trunk was refinished correctly with the black textured paint in the correct areas.
These are pictures of the engine and engine bay of this Boss 302 restoration after completion. Everything is there under the hood that it originally came with. This Boss 302 is stunning under the hood. We love to open the hood and impress everyone that takes a look with how clean and correct everything looks.
