While this is going on we have removed all the steering, suspension, and other mechanical items to be cleaned. After cleaning we have painted them or put them back to original factory finish. This Boss 302 restoration was not a concourse restoration. It is intended for driving on a regular basis. This is what our customer desired. That being said, some of the components were painted black for a "clean" look. Most of our Boss 302 restorations are to concourse specifications and the parts would all be finished to factory specifications. You can see each part is individually done as seen in the photos below.

By this time the outside of this Boss 302 has been refinished and is ready to be painted on the undercarriage. In a normal Boss 302 restoration to concourse standards the entire car would batch primed or red oxide primed and then the base coat would be applied. In this case, however, we are restoring it to driver standards. So we have chosen to do the undercarriage after refinishing the top. We taped the Boss 302 off and these are the results.
