These next photos show that the previous Mustang restorer did a less than thorough job. The black paint on the exterior of a Boss 302 mustang should be a textured black. This car was very smooth. We plan to sand off this black and apply the correct Boss 302 textured paint. The Boss 302 gets this paint on the hood, trunk lid, rear body panel, and the back glass moldings. On Dearborn Boss 302's the underside of the trunk lid also gets this paint. Metuchen Boss 302's are body color. This Boss 302 is a Dearborn built car so we will have to do the deck as well.

As you can see by these photos the interior in this Boss 302 was not up to our expectations. This Boss 302 did come with black deluxe interior. But, the door panels were very worn and the seat covers had tears, rips, and they were missing some of the buttons. The back seat of this Boss 302 was quite a sight. It appears as though the previous owner or someone before him had just thrown in a bottom portion of the back seat from a different car. The upholstery was all wrong. The window felts in this Boss 302 were also hanging on for dear life. These items are all going to be replaced. New covers, door panels, and various other interior items are on deck for this Boss 302 restoration.
